Juram Gorriceta currently serves as a Nurse Educator and Simulation Instructor while pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice in the Executive Track at the University of Central Florida. He aspires to become an academic leader and a world-class nursing instructor. His current scholarly project focuses on role-reversal simulation in dementia care, particularly in promoting empathy among healthcare staff, with the valued support of his colleagues. In addition, he recently earned the credential of AIDS Certified Registered Nurse, further strengthening his professional expertise. He is also completing training and certification through the Alzheimer’s Association of America, further expanding his knowledge in dementia care. As he continues to broaden his professional horizons, he is eager to engage in research involving HIV/AIDS and dementia. He remains highly active in conferences and in a variety of professional activities beyond his core roles. His future research interests include examining the impact of HIV/AIDS in patients with dementia and integrating both HIV/AIDS and dementia care into simulation-based education.
